Our Island Mauritius - Notre Ile Maurice

Mauritius is a Tropical Island with two seasons, SUMMER and WINTER, situated in the Indian Ocean near Reunion Island and Madagascar, Mauritius is a hub for various Business of import and export, its key local resources are the tourism, textile, sugar cane and IT. Mauritius get its independence in 1968 and became Republic in 1992.

The island is well known for its natural beauty and of course the legendary bird DODO.Mauritius is a fast developing Island mainly in Hotels and IT business, with it white and sandy beaches tourist always say its Paradise ISLAND.

Well this blog is also for my brothers and sisters who are living and studing in other countries.Mauritius have 9 Districts, they are Black River, Flacq, Grand Port, Moka, Pamplemousses, Port Louis, Plaines Wilhems, Riviere du Rempart, Savanne and Rodrigues is an island of Mauritius.

The most widely-spoken language of the country is Maurtian Creole and our national language is English but speak French fluently and some talk also Hindi, urdu, chinese, tamil and bhojpuri. Mauritius has a very high advantage of its multi Regilions and culturals in the Indian Ocean and thats why people like to come to Mauritius.....

Pointe aux Caves Lighthouse




This is a very Famous place in Mauritius...With a panoramic view

fromthe Light house it will surely amazed you........Situated in the
EAST part of Mauritius ALBION Village and was build in the
19's to help the incoming boats and actual big Cargo ship to
easily spot there way..Still active and its about 45-46 mts High
gives flashes of light every 10 seconds....its a British type of light
House in the Indian Ocean Island Mauritius....
Its also surrounded by some of the tropical Trees,... Plants and
Flowers, a visit is very easy because its very close to the capital
town Port Louis at about 10-11 kms from it, in french we call it a
" PHARE"...posting some photos of thelandscape near the Light
house Enjoy...
